Onions are a very valuable vegetable crop. Thanks to its useful
Due to its properties, it is widely used in cooking and medicine.
Many summer residents dream of getting a good harvest of onions. One of the important conditions for obtaining a rich harvest is the choice of soil and timely feeding of onions.
Onions are best grown in moist and non-saline fertile soil. Sandy loam and loamy soils are ideal. At the same time, onions in any case need feeding.
Typically, onions are fertilized two or three times. For the first time, feeding onions is carried out 40 days after planting. Diluted manure, which is applied between the rows, is a good fertilizer. 10 liters of slurry is enough for one running meter. After top dressing, abundant soil moisture is recommended.
The second feeding of onions is carried out 2 weeks after the first. At the same time, the soil is fertilized with nitrophosphate, which is diluted with water at the rate of 40-50 g of mineral fertilizer per 10 liters of water. And they water the soil with this useful solution. One square meter requires about 5 liters.
The third onion feeding is carried out 2-3 weeks after the second feeding. Mullein, 20 g of superphosphate and 10 g of potassium salt are bred in a bucket of water. And the soil is abundantly fertilized, after which the onions are well watered.
In addition to fertilizing the soil, preventive treatment of green onion shoots against fungal diseases is also recommended. To do this, copper sulfate is diluted in 10 liters of water and sprayed with green onion feathers.
